How to manage partitions and dynamic volumes in Windows (RAID-5)

By

Here is a tool that will offer you the possibility to play with the dynamic partitions of your Windows machines. This is a software called Dynamic Disk Partitioner (DDP) which will allow you to manage partitions or dynamic volumes (RAID-5), but also NTFS volumes on all versions of Windows (Windows 2000, Windows XP, Server 2003, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Server 2008 and Windows 10).

DDP also allows you to move the dynamic disk to another location on the disk, or even to another disk, as well as to create or expand these RAID-5 volumes.

RAID 5 uses at least three hard drives and spans data across multiple hard drives to gain performance through concurrent access, but unlike RAID 0, RAID 5 includes correction codes (parity bits) between the data,

And if your OS doesn’t support dynamic volumes (like Windows XP), don’t panic since DDP allows you to copy files from these volumes.

Super practical!

Especially since this tool is able to continue a volume move or add disk operation, even after a power failure and without data loss.

DDP can be downloaded here.
